welcomes Cheryl Cramer as the Keck grant-supported User Services Consultant.
She will be providing primary support for the new interdisciplinary program
in arts and technology.
Cheryl is originally from the Washington, D.C. area and lived for many
years in Pittsburgh, PA. She has a Bachelor’s degree in music education
from W. Va. Wesleyan College and a Ph. D. in music theory and composition
from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to teaching computer and
electronic music at Pitt, Cheryl has worked as a C/C++ programmer, creating
factory automation applications at Carnegie Mellon University and developing
digital watermarking technology at Digimarc in Portland. She also uses
her computer skills as a free-lance music engraver.
In her free time, Cheryl enjoys concerts, fabric dyeing and quilting,
fly fishing and gardening.
