For a variety of reasons, having to do with space constraints and perhaps also some misunderstandings on the part of both the authors and the editor, many of the responses to the various essays were severely abridged to the point where many details of many arguments on all sides were lost. Accordingly, as one of the contributors to this volume, I thought it would be appropriate to further the ongoing discussion by making public typscript versions of my own responses to the other essays in the book.
