You’re Invited. Yes, You.
A website can't show you the way morning light hits the Mill Stream, or what it's like to grab coffee at the Bistro between classes, or how quickly Salem starts to feel like home. That's what visits are for. Student-led tours run every weekday, and the students leading them know this place well.
A Tour is Just the Start
Your visit begins with a student-led walk through campus. Then you'll sit down with an admissions counselor to talk academics, campus life, and what applying looks like. And when you're done, take a few minutes to wander into downtown Salem. It's right there, and it has a way of making the decision a little easier.
Public Health Needs Leaders Who Can Dive In
At Willamette, Emma Noffsinger BA’26 found room to lead, compete, research, intern, present, and still have a life. Now the Public Health and Psychology major is headed to Johns Hopkins to keep asking bigger questions about mental health and communities.
Emma Made Every Lap Count
Between practices and papers, Emma found time to work alongside Marion County Health on applied research, intern with Fentanyl Free Oregon, and bring her psychology work to a major academic conference. And her faculty mentors helped her connect the dots between classroom ideas and real-world impact.
He Studied Logic, Then Chose a Life of Service
At Willamette, Harrison Beattie BA’26 paired Mathematics with Philosophy, led his fraternity, played club soccer, and tutored students through the thornier corners of symbolic logic. Next stop: Officer Candidate School, law school, and service as a future Marine Corps Judge Advocate.
Some Students Find Their Major. At Willamette, Students Also Find Their Mission.
Harrison didn't follow a straight line to his future. He built it through student government, leadership in his fraternity, hours in the tutoring center, and a willingness to sit with hard questions until they started making sense. That combination of intellectual rigor, personal discipline, and genuine purpose is exactly what Willamette is built to develop.
Learning and Leading since 1842
For almost 200 years, Willamette has helped students turn their knowledge into action — right here in the heart of the Pacific Northwest.
