Early Action Guidelines

By December 1:

  • Complete Application for Admission
  • Complete the CSS Financial Aid PROFILE
(If you are not interested in such an estimate, you are not required to submit the form.)

Completing the CSS PROFILE is a three-step process.
    1. Register for the PROFILE service. To register online, connect to the College Board at http://profileonline.collegeboard.com/index.jsp. You can connect any day, any time, and you can complete both steps of the PROFILE process online.
    2. Complete the PROFILE. Willamette's institutional code number for the PROFILE is 4954.
    3. Submit the PROFILE to the College Scholarship Service (CSS). You should submit the form at least one week in advance of the recommended deadline.

By February 1:

  • Complete Fee Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    1. This form is available online and at high school guidance offices and college financial aid offices in the late fall each year. The web site address is www.fafsa.ed.gov.
    2. Willamette's institution code number for FAFSA is 003227.
    3. You must not submit the FAFSA before January 1. The priority deadline for the FAFSA is February 1. Applicants should make a copy of the completed FAFSA for personal records.

Application and Notification

Early Action at Willamette is non-binding. All applicants who complete an Application for Admission by the published deadline are considered for Willamette merit-based scholarships which are announced with the letter of admission. Applicants who have submitted the CSS PROFILE (Early Action only) and the FAFSA will receive notification of their eligibility for need-based grants, scholarships, loans and work programs from the Office of Financial Aid.

Early Action

Estimated financial aid packages are mailed by January 15 to applicants who meet the Early Action admission deadline of December 1.
