Completing the CSS PROFILE is a three-step process.- Register for the PROFILE service. To register online, connect to the College Board at http://profileonline.collegeboard.com/index.jsp. You can connect any day, any time, and you can complete both steps of the PROFILE process online.
- Complete the PROFILE. Willamette's institutional code number for the PROFILE is 4954.
- Submit the PROFILE to the College Scholarship Service (CSS). You should submit the form at least one week in advance of the recommended deadline.
- Complete 2007-08 FAFSA
by February 1.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).- This form is available online and at high school guidance offices and college financial aid offices in the late fall each year. The web site address is www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Willamette’s institution code number for FAFSA is 003227.
- You must not submit the FAFSA before January 1, 2007. The priority deadline for the FAFSA is February 1. Applicants should make a copy of the completed FAFSA for personal records.
Application and Notification
Early Action at Willamette is non-binding. All applicants who complete an Application for Admission by the published deadlines are considered for Willamette merit-based scholarships, and these awards are mailed according to the same schedule as need-based awards. Applicants who have submitted the CSS PROFILE (Early Action only) and the FAFSA will receive notification of their eligibility for need-based grants, scholarships, loans and work programs from the Office of Financial Aid.
Early Action I
Estimated financial aid packages are mailed by January 1 to applicants who meet the Early Action I admission deadline and who file the CSS PROFILE by November 1.
Early Action II
Estimated financial aid packages are mailed by February 1 to applicants who meet the Early Action II admission deadline and who file the CSS PROFILE by December 1.
Final Awards
Final financial aid awards are mailed on or before April 15 to Early Action candidates.
Acceptance of Award
To accept a financial aid award, a student must return a signed copy of the Award Notice along with the $350 Advance Deposit. An award is not considered accepted unless the student has confirmed his or her attendance by mailing the non-refundable Advance Deposit to the Office of Admission. Early Action and Regular Decision candidates are expected to return both the Advance Deposit and the signed copy of the Notice of Award by the National Candidates’ Reply Date of May 1, or within two weeks of receiving the admission and financial aid notification if either of those arrive after April 15.
