Favorite Things About Willamette:

Outstanding faculty who are dedicated teachers, exceptionally bright and talented students who care about others, and a collaborative learning environment in which all of us enjoy a mutual respect for and courtesy toward one another.

Favorite Place or Activity on Campus:

Mill Stream, the Star Trees, the Martha Springer Garden, the Hallie Ford Museum and the Rogers Music Center.

Favorite Thing About Salem:

It’s a 7-minute walk downtown to interesting locally- owned shops, art galleries, bakeries, restaurants, and the Nordstrom Mall.

What You Recommend Doing When Visiting Salem:

All of the above, plus enjoy the scenic beauty of Bush’s Pasture Park, walk the pedestrian bridge over the Willamette River from Riverfront Park and back, and explore the surrounding Willamette Valley (Silver Creek Falls State Park, Willamette Mission Park, wineries,  Willamette Valley Cheese Company, many farms selling local fruits, vegetables and flowers).
