Favorite Things About Willamette:
Willamette’s location is hard to beat. It is such a beautiful campus, but really, the access we have to so many unique internship opportunities is incomparable. Being able to live in a gorgeous setting, having interaction on and off campus with amazing people/organizations makes this an amazing place to be!
Favorite Place or Activity on Campus:
I love the Botanical Gardens for quiet moments. It is interesting to check out all the flora and it always feels calming to hang out on the grass or on a bench. For more excitement, I love the Bistro where you can see all kinds of folks- students, faculty, staff, and community members- coming together.
What You Recommend Doing When Visiting Salem:
If the weather is cooperating, a walk in Minto Brown Island Park is very nice. You can walk along the river, through Hazelnut groves, past farmland, and wind around berry-lined paths. It is a gem to have such a huge preserve right in town!
Your Best Admission Memory:
I love people, so everyday in this job is good for me! One of my favorite moments was randomly meeting and talking with someone on a plane about Willamette, then to find out his daughter applied as a result of our talk and is coming to school here!
Favorite Summer Activity:
I love to go boating with my family. We wake board, ski, knee board, and tube. I also love to just hang out on the back of the boat to fish or read. Oregon has so many fun lakes to check out!
