About your Admission Counselor

Favorite Place or Activity on Campus:

It's a tie between the Fuller Zen Garden and the Hallie Ford Museum of Art. The Fuller Zen Garden is a hidden gem for the art majors (next to the Art Building) and a great place to take a break from long nights in the painting, ceramics, etching, or photo studios. The Hallie Ford Museum is where I had my first show as an artist!

Your Willamette College Story:

I came to Willamette from the Midwest not knowing what to expect of my four years.  Willamette provided me with amazing opportunities to study the arts, music, philosophy, politics, and theatre.  In that time I met the most incredible people and was able to participate in events and clubs I had never considered before.  I even spent time studying abroad in Vienna, Austria.  The sum of all of these experiences shaped me into the person I am today - I’m excited to help other students reach their full potential as Bearcats!

Favorite Thing About Willamette:

Our students!  Through their engagement and intellectual curiosity, they have created an amazingly diverse and supportive community.  It's what attracted me to Willamette for my undergraduate education in the first place!

Best Movie of All Time:

2001: A Space Odyssey

Book You Would Read Again:

Pax Romana by Jonathan Hickman

Favorite Summer Activity:

Grabbing my Canon AE-1, hopping in my car, picking a direction and spending the day exploring.
