The book Colleges That Change Lives notes that Willamette students are “zealous about sports” — one in four compete in Division III athletics, and a majority participate in intramurals each year.

Willamette students love to stay active, whether they’re cycling through the surrounding Willamette Valley, tackling on the rugby pitch, backpacking in a nearby forest or joining an ultimate Frisbee tournament.

Our wide variety of intramurals and club sports gives you plenty of opportunities to show your competitive side. And our popular Outdoor Program is your entry point to the Pacific Northwest’s natural playground — with numerous organized trips every year for skiing, camping, white-water rafting, hiking or snowboarding.
