Living at Willamette
Living on campus is an amazing experience — with so many places to eat, sleep, study, socialize and relax, you'll be at home in no time at all.
Willamette offers traditional residence halls, single and double apartments, and quad suites with full kitchens and bathrooms — amenities that keep the majority of our students on campus. No matter where you stay, you're always within a five-minute walk of any academic building or dining hall.
Each building also has common study and hangout rooms with kitchens and TVs, laundry facilities and bicycle storage.
Residential Services manages housing across campus, and their helpful staff will ensure that you have a great experience living in our community.
Living in the residence halls makes it easy to meet new friends and find fun activities. Community Mentors, or CMs — older students who help residents get to know each other and assist them with academic or personal concerns — can guide you through this new experience.
Theme housing offers you a chance to interact with others who share your interests. Willamette offers halls dedicated to:
- outdoor adventure
- Japanese culture
- substance-free living
- community service
- Greek life
Kaneko Commons, for example, creates a dynamic living and learning environment through a variety of room options; programming focused on service, Japanese culture and sustainability; and a Japanese café.
Leadership and Service
The residence halls also can introduce you to Willamette's tradition of leadership and community service.
Whether you choose to run for Hall Council, be an CM, become president of your fraternity, join a garden planting project or plan events for your floor, the opportunities to lead and serve within your new community are limitless.

Dining at Willamette
Willamette’s food service provider, Bon Appétit, is nationally known for a commitment to serving local foods that are produced sustainably — and because we’re located in the fertile Willamette Valley, they have plenty of farms to choose from. Bon Appétit serves everything from sushi and international wraps to pizza and all-you-can-eat brunches. Vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful.
You also can find a cup of coffee or a bite to eat at the Bistro, our student-run coffee shop. Whether you’re sitting down for breakfast at Goudy or grabbing a snack in Montag Center between classes, there’s always a place to satisfy your dining needs (and cravings).
