| Full-Time MBA: Career Management Programs |
Ful-Time MBA students benefit from a wide array of Career Management programs, including the PACE (Practical Applications for Careers and Enterprises) course built into the core curriculum.
Events/Workshops
Mentor Program
Each year business professionals from all industries work with individual students to offer guidance, support and coaching. Willamette MBA mentors provide critical counseling to students as they focus their career interests, develop their resume of experience and create their network of professional contacts. Mentors are expected to meet with students at least once per month and invite their mentees to shadow them on the job, attend networking events or seek professional development opportunities.
Career Advisors
The Career Advisor Program begins in the fall semester and helps students learn about careers from successful managers. Career advisors are alumni and other management professionals who make themselves available to interested Willamette MBA students for information interviews. Some will also assist students by reviewing resumes, providing career coaching and mock interviews.
Company Treks
Site visits to a variety of organizations in Salem, Portland and Seattle are available throughout the year. A calendar of events is posted on Navigator, the online Willamette MBA career suite.
Functional Career Panels
Hosted by Student Professional Organizations, panelists include local professionals sharing industry-specific career advice. (Lunch Hour—Salem)
Company Information Sessions and Power Lunches
High level individuals or company representatives share their insights to a group of students interested in a particular organization or industry. (Lunch Hour—Salem)
