The Willamette University Executive Development Center offers a structured certificate programs, workshops and events that provide the tools, resources and concepts needed to increase individual knowledge and organizational value and productivity.


Today’s successful managers need a varied, multidisciplinary understanding of communication, decision-making, service delivery and organizational structure. The Certificate of Public Management (CPM) program is designed to meet this need by enhancing the administrative effectiveness, technical competency, analytical abilities and communication skills of its participants.
The Career Management and Coaching Certificate is designed for the professional ready to explore opportunities and challenges critical to achieving career and organizational success.
This highly interactive and integrative training program emphasizes and develops management theories and skills as applied to the utility industry. It provides substantial coursework in managing regulations, stakeholders, IT and human resources, opportunities and risks, as well as understanding a utility from a financial standpoint. Participants will receive instruction from industry and management experts and will have opportunities to learn and think strategically.
