All MBA students are required to have a laptop computer that meets the following minimum laptop requirements.

Minimum required laptop specifications are listed below.
* Windows 10 or newer operating system (for all types of laptops)
* Windows-based Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Because existing Mac-based Microsoft Office programs do not support certain applications and functions required for study at the Willamette MBA, Windows-based Microsoft Office is required for all types of laptops. For this reason, students using Macs will need to install the Windows operating system on their Mac computers. The Windows operating system can be installed on all Intel-based Mac computers. More information can be found at: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468.

Microsoft's Office 365 is available to Willamette MBA students at no cost. When installed on a computer that runs the Windows operating system, the Microsoft Office applications provided through Office 365 meet the requirement for Windows-based Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. More information can be found at: http://willamette.edu/offices/wits/help/office365/.

Students planning to use a laptop provided by an organization or employer for their MBA coursework, should be sure the laptop administration is not restricted by the organization's IT department.  Students may be required to install software, make network changes, or make other system configuration changes to the laptop. Laptops with administration lockdown or only partially configurable will not meet the laptop requirements at Willamette MBA.

Some Willamette MBA courses may require installation of other software. Students are responsible for all costs associated with purchasing laptop, software, and license as well as installing software.
