Merit-Based Scholarships
The MBA for Professionals Dean's Achievement Scholarship of $1,500 per semester is awarded to qualified admitted applicants who present excellent credentials and a GMAT score of 600 or higher or equivalent percentile on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The maximum total value of this scholarship over the six semester program is $9,000.
The scholarship is automatically renewable within the six semester limit if the student meets of all of the following requirements:
1) The student maintains a semester and cumulative gpa of 3.3 or higher in MBA for Professionals coursework, and
2) The student maintains good status within the academic policies and honor code of the Atkinson School and Willamette University.
Willamette University employees are not eligible for participation in the Dean's Achievement Scholarship program. In addition, MBAP students participating in tuition discount programs, or who are recipients of other Willamette University scholarship funds, including funds provided in partnership with the Yellow Ribbon scholarship program for veterans, are not eligible to participate in the Dean's Achievement scholarship program.
Federal Educational Loans
The Federal Stafford Loan and Federal Graduate Plus educational loan programs provide the opportunity to fully cover educational, living and personal expenses while completing an MBA.
Loans are the most common source of financial assistance for MBA students throughout the United States. Loans make it possible for MBA students to invest in a future of expanded career opportunities, career satisfaction and increased earning power.
If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, are admitted to the MBA for Professionals program and submit the FAFSA form, you will normally be eligible for $20,500 in Federal Stafford Loans for each period of two consecutive semesters you are enrolled in Willamette's MBA for Professionals program. If you need additional funding, you can also apply for the credit-based Federal Graduate PLUS Loan. Willamette University's FAFSA code is 003227.
