School of Education Ready for Accreditation Process

From Dec. 5-9, national and state accreditors will visit the School of Education (SOE). The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) will conduct standard accreditation evaluations whose criteria measure the effectiveness of SOE programming.

Accreditation from NCATE and TSPC provides SOE with advantages in public recognition, recruitment and graduate hiring.
