iPad apps and algebra success
A recent article in the Statesman Journal highlights how some savvy GSE students are tackling a perennial curricular challenge -- algebra -- with technology.
"iPad apps developed by Willamette University students could soon help high school and middle school students crack the code of algebra, often a gatekeeper to college entry," the article says.
Willamette, in collaboration with George Fox University and Pacific University, garnered a large U.S. Department of Education grant for the program. It is one in a series of collaborative ventures the GSE has adopted to reach more students and teachers and do good in the community.
