April means theses, but it also means hard-earned breaks by the Mill Stream. These guys seem happy enough about it.

Relay for Life is coming up, and alumni and friends may participate April 13-14, overnight from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. (you don't have to be there the whole time!). The relay will take place on the WU quad. If you're interested, sign up as a team or an individual online. Are you a cancer survivor? You can register on the same site. Last month we reported on the passing of longtime professor and coach Steve Prothero. We now know that there will be a memorial service offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20 in Cone Chapel. Alumni and friends are welcome.

On a related note, another Willamette friend passed away just recently. Rev. Phil Hanni, who served as Chaplain from 1973-1985, died March 21. There will be a memorial service for him at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 at the First United Methodist Church in Salem. Friends and former students are welcome there as well.
