Career Fridays

Topics are designed to help alumni in an active job search in addition to providing a forum for networking among professionals.

Portland TrailBlazers Game and Pre-Game Dinner

5:30 p.m.  Pre-game dinner hosted by WU coaching legend Gordie James
(Fountain Room, Lower Level)

7:00 p.m. Game time, with fun down on the court afterward

Be aware that tickets might sell out quickly, so if you want to ensure availability, it is best to call or fax in the form. Tickets will be held for you at will call.

Star Trees Lighting and Free Holiday Concert

Saturday, Dec. 5, 6:30pm

All Willamette and Salem community members are invited to the 13th annual Star Trees Lighting Saturday, Dec. 5. The free program begins at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn north of Waller Hall. The tree lighting will include carols, along with free hot chocolate and cookies.

Prior to the event, Bon Appetit will provide a holiday dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Willamette’s Goudy Commons. The cost is $10 for adults ($7.50 for WU faculty and staff) and $6 for children 8 and younger. No reservations are needed. You may purchase tickets at the door.

Following the Star Trees Lighting, the Music Department will sponsor a free Family Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. in Smith Auditorium. The Willamette University Band, Headband and other ensembles will perform an array of seasonal music. Seating is limited.

That evening you are also invited to bring articles of clothing to the 16th annual PennyCoat Clothing Drive, sponsored by Beta Theta Pi fraternity to benefit those in need. Tables for donations will be set up in Goudy Commons and near the Star Trees.
