Yesterday the campus community came together at a special event to recognize President Pelton and his years of service at Willamette. Pelton departs this month after 13 years at the helm -- look for a special feature in the next issue of The Scene, which will be hitting mailboxes in a few weeks. Speaking of which, you'll notice some changes to the look and feel of the magazine; we hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we've enjoyed creating them.
Otherwise, it's finals week and the sun's out, as it typically is right when it can tempt students away from the library the most. In the interest of lightening the load (important during finals week), the second photo to the right is a snapshot from campus. (Note the "googly eyes" someone creatively attached to the stone carving.) First person to email us and identify the location of this shot wins a cool WU prize!
Finally, we need you to vote! We've identified 17 finalists for this year's "You're Doing What With Your Degree?" awards, and now it's up to community vote to decide on the winners.
Cast your vote here. (And make sure to come to the event on May 19!)
