Take a look at this issue's feature article about all the holiday events that have already taken place -- and the opportunities still left. If you're in Portland, we're planning to see you Dec. 12...
Also, don't forget that Puttin' on the Ritz, the music department's annual evening of dining, dancing and music, is coming Feb. 11. The event is now in its 17th year. Read more on the event website.
And finally, an internal happening that we should note: Recently a group of WU staff came together to decorate and present a Christmas tree as part of the Boys and Girls Aid Society's "Gala of Trees." The Willamette tree, titled "'Twas the ride before Christmas," auctioned off for a whopping $2,000. Further proof that Willamette's motto, adopted by people in all parts of the community, resonates as much this time of year as any. There's always more to do and learn.
We wish all a happy start to the season, whatever your traditions and plans might include.
PS: Remember that WU News will be off for January, but we'll be back in February.
