Roger Hull will discuss Fowler's 1930s Oregon scene paintings and prints as the basis of her evolving approach to artmaking as she responded to American modern art in the second half of the twentieth century.

Please join us to meet Norma Heyser, watch a video of her illustrated talk about her life as an artist and gallerist in Oregon, and view her award-winning painting from the Oregon Centennial Exposition and Trade Fair of 1959 (on loan from a private collection). There will a video screening at 2 p.m. followed by refreshments in the Maribeth Collins Lobb at 3 p.m.

Instructor:  Sonia Allen

Don your aprons, flex your fingers, and join us to learn the fascinating art of printmaking with a printmaking press. Over three mornings, students will create watercolor monotypes, drypoint-type prints, and a final relief printing project. We will visit the Print Study Center at Hallie Ford Museum of Art and finish off with a mini show of all our work. This is a workshop you won't want to miss.
