Lackman improved his times in the 110-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles each time he competed in March. At the Willamette Opener on March 5, he won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.52 seconds and also won the 400-meter hurdles, as he recorded a time of 56.14 seconds. At the Willamette Mini Meet on March 10, he took third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.43 seconds. He was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.90 seconds. At the Oregon Preview, hosted by the University of Oregon, Lackman placed seventh against a very strong field in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.34 seconds and was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.34 seconds. His time at the Oregon Preview in the 400-meter hurdles was the top time for a Northwest Conference runner during the month, while his time in 110-meter hurdles ranked second in the NWC.

Molly Barnes

Molly Barnes - Softball

Barnes achieved a .484 batting average during March, as she recorded 18 hits in 43 at bats. She started all 18 games for the Bearcats and provided Willamette with 17 runs and 15 RBIs. She pounded out 18 doubles and four home runs. Her slugging percentage for the month was .855 and her on-base percentage was .536. Barnes was named to the All-Tournament Team at the NFCA Division III Leadoff Classic in Panama City, Fla., as she led Willamette to the championship game with a .500 batting average. WU took second place, after falling to the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) in the title game. During the month, she recorded two or more hits in nine games, including a 4-for-5 performance against Wheaton College (Mass.) in the Leadoff Classic quarterfinals. She scored four runs against Wheaton and earned three RBIs against Wheaton and Chapman University.
