Symmonds, Reece break WU records in Oregon Twilight

EUGENE - Freshman Nick Symmonds and junior Jazzmin Reece set Willamette school records Saturday in the Oregon Twilight.

Symmonds won the prestigious Twlilight Mile in a time of 4:03.83, which converts to a 3:45 time in the 1,500 meters to break David Fleming's 1980 record (3:51.54) in that event.

Reece broke the one-year school record of Laura Leineweber (15.13) in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.08.

New NCAA provisional marks from Saturday:
