Muth scores 19 in loss to Lewis & Clark

SALEM — Lewis & Clark erased an eight-point halftime deficit by outscoring Willamette 50-26 in the second half Saturday night en route to an 80-64 Northwest Conference women’s basketball victory at Cone Field House.

The win upped the Pioneers’ records to 8-14 overall and 3-10 in the NWC, while Willamette fell to 7-13 and 1-10, respectively.

The Pioneers, who shot 41.7 percent from the field in the final half, got 20 points apiece from Tamika Hardy and Nnenna Lewis. Lewis also had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Willamette was led by Simmie Muth, who scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half. She also had eight rebounds. Deanna Lund added 15 points and seven boards for the Bearcats.
