Bearcats dominate NWC 4-Way meet at George Fox
NEWBERG, Ore. - With 20 wins between their men's and women's teams, the Willamette University Bearcats dominated the field in both divisions of the Northwest Conference 4-Way track and field meet Saturday at George Fox University's Colcord Memorial Field.
In the women's division, the Bearcats tallied 192 points, followed by the Linfield College Wildcats with 177, the host George Fox Bruins with 136, and the Pacific University Boxers with 40. Willamette took the men's division with 234 points, followed by Linfield with 183.5. George Fox with 134.5, and Pacific with 49.
Willamette recorded firsts in nine women's events, Linfield had seven women's winners, and George Fox had three. In men's events, Willamette won 11, Linfield six, and George Fox and Pacific one each.
