Bearcats finish second in Willamette Invitational

SALEM - Freshman Dave Eaton led the Bearcat golf team to second place Monday in the annual Willamette Invitational at Creekside Golf Club.

Eaton shot rounds of 79 and 76 for a 155 total, tying him for fifth place individually.

Kris Hunt and Rio Kuteria each shot a 78 in the first round and an 80 on the second to score 158s.

Cord Jonson also shot a 158 to lead the Willamette 'B' team.

Pacific Lutheran won the tournament with a total of 615, followed by WU (630) and Pacific (632).

The medalist for the tourney was PLU's Chris Keough (71-79—150).
