Bearcats get rude welcome in Lewiston

LEWISTON, Idaho - Bellevue (Neb.) had 17 hits - five of which were home runs - in beating Willamette 16-1 Friday night in the first day of the Jiffy Lube Tournament hosted by Lewis-Clark State University.

The Bearcats were limited to just two hits: a double by Colin Griffin and a single by Brian Gilmore.

The loss dropped Willamette to 4-5 on the season, heading into Saturday's 10 a.m. game against the University of British Columbia. Bellevue, an NAIA school, improved to 9-10.
