Bearcats place fourth in Whitman Invitational

PENDLETON - The Willamette men's golf team placed fourth in the 36-hole Whitman Invitational, which concluded Monday at Wildhourse Golf Club.

The Bearcats shot a total of 606 — 300 on Sunday and 306 on Monday. Puget Sound won the tournament with a total of 577. Pacific Lutheran (585) was second and Pacific (598) was third.

Willamette was led in the tournament by Kris Hunt, who finished ninth overall with a two-round total of 148. He shot rounds of 75 and 73. Rio Kuteria shot a 151.
