Swinn looks ahead to Friday's 100 backstroke at NCAAs
ATLANTA — Willamette’s Eric Swinn, a freshman from Roseburg, will compete Saturday in his best event during the NCAA Division III swimming and diving championships at Emory University.
Swinn is seeded 15th in the nation in the 100-yard backstroke with a school-record time of 51.79.
Swinn competed on Thursday in the three-day meet, placing 43rd in the prelims in the 50 freestyle. The top eight finishers qualify for the finals.
Swinn also will compete Saturday in the 100 freestyle, an event he is seeded 47th in the country.
