Baseball Stadium Renovations
The Willamette University baseball team and athletic department, with the help of numerous other university departments, are currently putting John Lewis Field/Roy S. "Spec" Keene Stadium through renovations designed at upgradingg what we believe to already be one of the top facilities in the Pacific Northwest.
The team is currently painting both the inside and outside of the stadium as well as the clubhouse and the pressbox, while enclosing the entire stadium with new windscreen. The field itself is also going through some reconditioning with new bullpens being built, as well as a new apron and approach area for home plate being put down. A new drainage system is also being put into place to control rain runoff. Not to be left out is our clubhouse that is attached to the home dugout. The clubhouse features thirty open face lockers that are scheduled to be reconditioned and painted.
Willamette baseball is very excited about all the outstanding upgrades to the John Lewis/"Spec" Keene Stadium and look forward to an exciting year of Bearcat baseball in 2004.
