Moshofsky and Hindman Earn NWC Player of the Week Honors
SALEM: Senior forward Adam Moshofsky and sophomore forward Brenna Hindman were both selected as Northwest Conference Players of the Week as both the Willamette University men’s and women’s soccer team remained undefeated in NWC play.
Moshofsky scored game winning goals against No. 6 Linfield and George Fox as the Bearcat men shocked the NWC with three straight conference wins on the road.
Moshofsky leads the NWC in scoring with a six goals and three assists in the Bearcats eight games.
Hindman, pictured above, also provided huge heroics for the Bearcat women. Down 3-1 late in the game Sunday against George Fox, the Bearcats rallied for a 4-3 overtime win. Hindman scored the tying goal with less than three minutes to go in regulation, then won it with a goal in the first 30 seconds of overtime. The Bearcat women remain undefeated at 8-0 overall, 3-0 in the NWC.
Hindman, with three goals and two assists in three games last week, now ranks second in the NWC in scoring with eight goals and seven assists in the Bearcats eight games. Teammates Anne Merten, Michelle Gregoire and Susan Butler also rank among the NWC’s top ten scorers.
