Bearcats Go to 10-0 With 2-0 win over PLU
SALEM: Brenna Hindman continued her scoring streak, knocking in two goals as the Willamette University women’s soccer team remained undefeated with a 2-0 win over Pacific Lutheran University.
Hindman scored once in each half as the Bearcats extended their home unbeaten streak to 69 straight games as they raised their record to 10-0 overall, 5-0 in the Northwest Conference.
At the 13:19 mark, Anne Merten and Jessica Lammers combined to set up Hindman for her first goal. Eight minutes into the second half, Hindman converted a Laura Uhlmansiek corner kick into her fifth goal in the last three games.
The Bearcat defense limited PLU to eight sots in the game. Goalie Kari Woody had four saves. The Bearcats had 18 shots of their own.
