Northwest Conference Volleyball Willamette def. Pacific 30-15, 30-24, 30-28
FOREST GROVE - Willamette made it happen at the net Wednesday night, making 45 kills and five total blocks on their way to a three-game victory over Pacific in Northwest Conference volleyball action at the Pacific Athletic Center.
The Bearcats (13-6, 5-4 NWC) dominated the second game between the two teams, hitting .257 compared to Pacific's .059. Angie Sammons led the attack with 15 kills, 13 digs and two service aces. Jenni Linden had nine kills and a .348 hitting percentage to go along with four block assists.
Kellie Twigg (Jr., Hillsboro, Ore.) led the Boxers (5-8, 2-7 NWC) with 11 kills and a .219 hitting percentage to go along with 10 digs and an ace. Rachel Larson (Sr., Mesa, Ariz.) finished with seven kills, 16 digs and an ace and Megan Van Domelen (Fr., Hillsboro, Ore.) had six assists.
Willamette will play at home on Friday night at 7PM against the Lutes of PLU.
