SALEM: Josh Hedrick scored one goal and assisted on two others as the University of Puget Sound Loggers (6-2-1, 3-0-1 NWC) handed the Willamette University men’s soccer team (4-3-3, 3-1 NWC) its first NWC loss of the season with a 4-0 win in Salem on Saturday.
Tyler Niemack scored first for the Loggers when he blasted home a direct kick from 40 yards out. Then Hedrick got busy. He assisted on Mike Gallegos goal at the 27:35 mark to give UPS a 2-0 lead.
Just three minutes before halftime, Hedrick scored himself, this time with an assist to Elliot Peterson. Hedrick assisted on the final goal of the game when Anthony Fioretti scored at the 55:19 mark.
