Bearcats Toy With Pioneers to Win in 3 Games
Salem: The Bearcats, 16-7 overall and 8-5 NWC, brought home an easy win against the Lewis & Clark Pioneers, 2-15, 2-11.
The Bearcats honored seniors Kristin Kirschner and Jenni Linden at the last home game of the season and the last home game of their careers. After the celebration was over Willamette walked over the Pioneers.
With junior outside hitter Kristin Halleck making 12 kills, 30 total attempts, and 5 digs and senior Kristin Kirschner with 10 kills, 15 total attempts the Bearcats were able to sail through the game in 1hour and 20 minutes.
For the Pioneers the leading scorers were sophomore Audrey Dilling with 7 kills, 15 total attempts and 1 dig, and junior Jennifer Slaton with 6 kills, 30 total attempts, and 13 digs.
Final score: 30-15, 30-17, 30-28.
The Bearcats play at Puget Sound on November 7th in Tacoma.
