Muth's Last Second 3-Pointer Give Bearcats a 53-51 Win Over Concordia

SALEM: Senior guard Simmie Muth hit a three pointer with less than a second to go as the Willamette University women's basketball team (3-4) pulled out a 53-51 win over Concordia University Friday night at the Cone Field House.

With the Bearcats down one at the 8-second mark, Willamette turned the ball over and had to foul. But Concordia missed the front end of the one and one, setting the stage for Muth’s last second shot.

Megan Scheelar had a huge game for the Bearcats on the boards, garnering 13 in the contest.

Concordia took their biggest lead of the game at 29-23 late in the first half. But the Bearcats clawed back and were down three at halftime.

Jammie Muth hit a three-pointer to open the second half to tie the game. The teams see-sawed back and forth until Muth won it just before the buzzer.
