Men Finish Third Overall at Northwest Conference Championships
Lake Stevens, Wash. - The Bearcat Men made a strong showing at the Northwest Conference Championships at Lake Stevens. In the seven events that they entered they medaled in four, two gold and two silver.
With one of their top varsity rowers not able to row, they finished fourth in the Varsity eight to Western Washington (3rd), Lewis & Clark (2nd) and Puget Sound (1st) who went on to win the conference.
The gold medaling boats were the Men's Single and the Men's JV Four. Larry Barsukoff was the singles rower who had rowed only twice in the single this year before competing. He is also in the varsity eight and the lightweight four.
The silver medal boats were the 2nd Varsity Eight and the Men's Lightweight Four.
The men look catch Lewis & Clark and UPS at the WIRA championships this Saturday and Sunday.
