Volleyball Splits a Pair Saturday to Finish Battlefield Classic 3-1
Gettysburg, PA — Willamette lost to host Gettysburg in four games Saturday, then won its final match against Moravian as the Bearcats finished the two-day Battlefield Classic 3-1, raising their season record to 6-2.
After winning a pair of matches Saturday, including a five-game win over Seton Hill, the Bearcats lost in four to Gettysburg in the 9 a.m. match Saturday morning. After taking the first game, 30-26, the Bearcats lost three straight to the host team, 30-27, 31-29 and 30-22.
Willamette came right back in the 11 a.m. match, sweeping through Moravian 30-16, 30-13, 30-22. The Bearcats return home for a pair of Northwest Conference match-ups next week, taking on Lewis and Clark on Tuesday and PLU on Saturday.
