Michael Plank Earns Special Teams Player of the Week
Salem, OR- Sophomore Michael Plank won the Northwest Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week, after his performance in the Bearcats 55-6 win last Saturday against Lewis & Clark.
Plank finished with 153 return yards. He set up three touchdowns in the first quarter with a kick off return of 39 yards and punt returns of 55 and 39 yards, all deep into Lewis and Clark territory.
The sophomore from Stockton, CA, also threw a 49-yard touchdown pass and rushed for 23 yards on four carries, racking up 246 yards in total offense.
Plank’s efforts helped to improve Willamette’s record to 4-2
overall, and
2-0 in the NWC.
