UPS Slips By Willamette With One

SALEM, OR- Andrew Hewitt scored the game winning goal in the first half off an assist from Josh Hedrick as the University of Puget Sound defeated Willamette University in a Northwest Conference match Saturday afternoon.

UPS, tied for second in the NWC, improved to 9-2-3, 6-2-1 in the NWC. The Bearcats fell to 2-9-2, 2-7-0 in the NWC.

Willamette goalie Dane Meier had three saves for the Bearcats. Brain Lawson of UPS had one.

The Loggers outshot Willamette 10-2.

The Bearcats return Sunday, October 17 to play Rhodes College at noon.
