Butler and Dahl Picked First Team All-NWC; Uhlmansiek, Hindman, Forsyth and Dahl Also Honored
SALEM, OR- Susan Butler and Nicole Dahl were named First Team All-Northwest Conference for the 2004 All-NWC Women’s Soccer Team this week.
Laura Uhlmansiek and Brenna Hindman were named to the Second Team All-NWC, while seniors Kara Forsyth and Naomi Baez received Honorable Mentions.
Head Coach Jim Tursi, led the Bearcats to a third place finish, with an overall record of 12-6-2 and 10-5-1 in the NWC.
Butler, a sophomore midfielder from Boise, ID, racked up 20 points (ranking her No. 9 in points in the NWC), scoring nine goals (No. 7) with two assists for the season.
Dahl, a senior forward from West Richland, WA, totaled in 19 points, eight goals and three assists, finishing 10th in both points and goals in the NWC. Dahl was also recently named a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American.
Uhlmansiek, a sophomore midfielder from Woodinville, WA, recorded nine assists for the season, finishing fourth in the league.
Hindman, a junior forward from Boulder, CO, tallied 23 points, ranking her No. 4 in the league for points and No. 5 in goals scored. Hindman had a team high of 10 goals.
Forsyth, a senior defender from Steilacoom, WA, has started at sweeper four years for the Bearcats. She was also recently selected as a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Baez, a senior midfielder from Salem, Oregon, recorded five assists for the Bearcats, placing her tenth in league assists.. She also scored two goals this year for the Bearcats.
