Fischer Sets New Bearcat Record in 200 Breaststroke
SALEM, OR — Sophomore Becca Fischer set a new school record in the 200 breaststroke Friday night in the Bearcats’ meet against Whitman.
Fischer’s swim of 2:29.92 bettered the old mark of 2:30.23 set by Leslie Wilday in 1983.
Fischer also won the 50 freestyle and anchored the Bearcats’ winning 400-medley relay team to earn a nomination for Northwest Conference Swimmer of the Week.
The Bearcats swim Friday night against Linfield. The final home meet of this season begins at 6 p.m.
