Robinson Named NWC Men's Swimmer of the Week; Fischer, Payne and Lewis Earned Honorable Mentions

SALEM, OR — Avery Robinson, a senior from Bend, has been named the Northwest Conference Male Swimmer of the Week. Robinson grabbed three first place finishes in last week’s meet against Whitman College.

Robinson won the 200yd individual medley relay (2:10.30) and the 200yd butterfly (2:16.89), to earn two individual first place finishes.

Robinson teamed with Kei Otawa, Cason Schmit and David Sluss to win the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:56.82.

In other NWC news, swimmer Becca Fischer, who set a school record in the 200yd breaststroke, earned honorable mention for her three first place finishes.

In basketball, Laura Payne and Todd Lewis also received honorable mention selections.
