Bearcats Show Depth at WOU Twilight Meet
MONMOUTH, OR — Five different Bearcats won individual events as
a small group of Willamette University track and field athletes
competed Friday in the Western Oregon University Twilight meet in
Monmouth Friday evening.
On the women’s side, Mariah Hanson won the 400 meters in a time of
59.28. Roseann Kassebaum took first in the 400 hurdles, finishing
in 1:04.05.
For the men, Ben Zeiger won the 3000 steeplechase in 9:42.97. Ben Decherd finished first in the 800 meter run in 1:56.91. Nate Matlock was a double-winner again, taking first in the discus (151-08) and the hammer (189-05.
