Butler, Nunamaker Earn All-NWC Women's Tennis Honors
SALEM, OR — Susan Butler and Alison Nunamaker have been named to the All-Northwest Conference tennis team.
Butler, a sophomore from Boise, was selected to the first team. Nunamaker, (pictured left) a senior from Hood River, earned second team honors. As a team, the Bearcats finished fourth in the NWC Championships this past weekend, barely losing the match for third place, 5-4, against PLU.
Butler finished the season with a 7-7 mark at No. 1 singles and a 9-5 record with No. 2 doubles teammate Hannah Johnson. Nunamaker was 13-5 in singles. She began the season at No. 6 singles and worked her way up to playing No. 2 singles by the conference tournament. Nunamaker and doubles teammate Melody Kerber finished 12-6 for the season.
