Men's Tennis Falls Short In Spokane

SPOKANE, WA — The Willamette men’s tennis team fell short in their match against Whitworth Saturday 6-1. The Bearcats fell to 3-4 overall and 3-4 in the Northwest Conference. The Pirates raised to 6-5 overall and 5-2 NWC.
Eric MacMillen was the bright spot for the weekend, winning both his matches at No. 6 singles. On Saturday, MacMillan had the Bearcats only win over Scott Donnell, 6-4, 6-1. On Sunday, MacMillan won again, defeating Whitman’s James Truitt, 7-5, 6-3.
