Symmonds Sets Bearcat Mark in 800 Meters; Runs Sixth Fastest Time in DIII History
MT. SAC RELAYS — Nick Symmonds ran the sixth fastest time in Division III history en route to setting a Willamette school record in the 800 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday in California.
Symmonds ran a 1:48.92 as he won the 800 meter race. Symmonds is a two-time national champion in the 800 meters. He will race for his third straight title at the DIII national championships in late May.
Symmonds and his Bearcat track and field teammates run next Friday and Saturday in the Northwest Conference championships in McMinnville.
