Women's Tennis Falls Short In Match Against Whitman
SALEM, OR- The Willamette women’s tennis team fell short in a match against Whitman 5-4. The Bearcats lowered their record to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the Northwest Conference. Whitman improved to 7-9 overall and 5-3 NWC.
Susan Butler and Hannah Johnson picked up Willamette’s only win for doubles, with a score of 9-8 over Laurie Chapman and Marta Jankowska.
Johnson along with Alison Nunamaker and Melody Kerber, picked up three wins for the Bearcats in singles.
The team returns to the courts tomorrow, April 4th, in a match against Whitworth College at noon.
