Women's Crew Advances To Finals At Dad Vail Regatta
PHILADELPHIA, PA- The Willamette University crew team had a great showing at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia this afternoon as the women’s varsity light 4 raced to a first place finish, advancing them to the grand finals on Saturday.
The men’s varsity heavyweight 4 where neck-n-neck finishing in second just behind the first boat. Their time placed the Bearcats 16th out of 54 teams.
The women’s boat was led by senior coxswain Laura Schick, junior stroke Erin Stone, junior three seat Lindsey Young, sophomore two seat Kimberly Grady, and junior bow Melissa Rucker.
Rowers for the men’s team are sophomore coxswain Megan Meidinger, sophomore stroke Jared Reiger, junior three seat Mark Rogers, freshman two seat Danny Croom, and senior bow Nate Trenholme.
