Schneider's 43 Digs Puts Her in Top 10 All-Time for Division III
Salem, OR — Senior Willamette University volleyball team captain Roni Schneider collected 43 digs in a recent match against Cal State East Bay, good for a Willamette school record and 10th place on the all-time Division III record book for a four-game match.
Schneider (SR, Keizer, OR) tied with three other players for the
top ten mark. The Bearcat captain is a former
student at McNary High School and Chemeketa Community College. This is her second year playing for the Bearcats.
“Roni is such an outstanding defensive player and a great leader on our team,” said Head Coach Tricia Wright. “Roni is a dedicated, smart and fearless player who will do whatever it takes to dig the ball. She’s very deserving of earning a spot in the Division III record books and we’re proud of her accomplishment.”
