TENOLD TAKES NWC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
SALEM OR — Allie Tenold, a junior forward from Spokane, WA, has been named Northwest Conference women’s soccer Player of the Week for her two-goal performance in leading the Bearcats to a 3-1 win over Corban College last Saturday night.
Tenold (pictured left) tallied twice in the first half to give the Bearcats a 2-0 home mark on the new surface at Sparks Field. The Bearcats are 2-2 overall as they head into conference play with a pair of home games this weekend.
Other players earning honorable mention all-conference honors this week include:
Running Back Quentin Brock (Sr, Fresno CA) for his 126 yards rushing against the University of Mary Hardin Baylor,
Defensive back Josh Barker, who recorded two interceptions, two break-ups and four tackles in Saturday’s game
Place-kicker Matt Bococca, who was 1-1 in field goals and 3-3 in extra points this weekend and,
Men’s soccer player Ryan Powers, who tallied a goal and an assist in the Bearcats 5-4 loss to Corban College Saturday.
